Heavy Duty Transport Trailers

Mast Arm Clearance

SQ3TS® Trailers

Heavy Duty Jobsite Performance

Because portable traffic signals travel to their deployment location on trailers they are subject to the vibration and bumps of the road. Polycarbonate or plastic signal heads tend to form stress crack and fail after a time. Aluminum signal heads are not subject to cracking and failure.

  • Hydraulic Lift Mast Arm: The SQ3TS system features a heavy-duty hydraulic lift mast arm that allows the mast arm to be raised and lowered at the push of a button. Our rock-solid overhead mast arm sits at a vertical height of 19 feet (5.8 m) over the roadway. The manually unfolding mast arm makes it easy to maneuver around obstacles such as trees, poles, and fences during deployment, and the heavy-duty locking pins ensure no drift or sag of the overhead boom, even months after deployment.
  • Running Gear: The Torflex Axle provides independent suspension for a smoother transport and easier placement in rough terrain.
  • Trailer Brakes: Electric trailer brakes can be controlled in the cab of the towing vehicle for safe hauling.
  • Structural: Heavy duty structural components ensure the SQ3TS Trailer is designed to withstand the rigors of the construction environment. It also contributes to the ability of the PTS trailer to meet the 90 mph wind load requirement.
  • Lifting ring: Structurally adequate to facilitate lifting and placing the Signal Trailer, ensures the signal trailer placement can be accomplished regardless of the terrain or work zone constraints.
  • Tandem Tow: Horizon Signal SQ3TS Trailers tandem tow as independent trailers that articulate. This feature makes turning corners very easy.

Extreme Weather Tested

The SQ3TS is designed to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Rain, sleet, or snow…you can rely on a Horizon Signal. Snow? Rain? Blizzard? Thunderstorm? Just another day for a Horizon Portable Traffic Signal.
  • Wind The SQ3TS is engineered with a rock-solid foundation to withstand winds of 80MPH.
  • Heat Our advanced multi-phase controller operates up to a scorching 131 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Dust Super-bright LED signal indications increase visibility and maintain safety during poor-visibility conditions.
  • Cold Have a project way up north?  Our controller continues to function in temperatures below -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
